There was some concern that this DVD may not be in widesreen format but it cetainly is. Both movies are in beautful 1.85:1 aspect ratio. They both have a lot of extras and it seems the original 1983 Vacation here has all of the features of the Special Edition PLUS European Vacation as a bonus for the same price? Even though European Vacation is really an inferior sequel, why not have it if you get for free?

My entire family loves these movies and it is great to have them on hand for stormy, rainy days... they cheer us right up! Packaging was sufficient and arrival was on time per usual. Very happy with my purchase.

I'm so glad that these two films are being sold together. I love each of them. These are definitely the kind of movies you never get tired of seeing, I've seen both of them enough to know. It's unusual for a sequel to be as good as the original but in my opinion European Vacation is just as good as Family Vacation, in some ways maybe better. These films don't try to be something they're not. They are just plain and simple laugh out loud funny. When you have all the jokes and gags memorized and they can still make you laugh, that's really saying something. There are also some great commentaries included featuring Chevy Chase.

I wish that people would stop reviewing the actual movies on Amazon and review the technical qualities of the product (the DVD) only. There are other places on the web to give movie reviews (IMDB for example). I bought this DVD because it was cheap, had two great movies on one disc, and didn't mind paying less money for the DVD version of these movies as opposed to paying more money for the Blu-ray versions. I knew that I wasn't going to get hi-def, Blu-ray quality copies of these movies by getting the DVD but the image quality on this DVD is severely lacking. The picture quality is not sharp and is fuzzy at times and there are a lot of film scratches and blemishes visable in the images. It's as though I bought VHS-quality versions of these movies to play on my DVD player. 2 stars only because this thing was only $6. But even at $6 it's a bit of a rip off.

I believe this DVD was meant for sale in Canada as the DVD cover is labeled as such.

Not great movies but entertaining. I saw these years ago and remembered them as good. Now that I've watched them again, I won't waste my time viewing them in the future.

As always, Clark Griswald and family never disappoint! National Lampoons Vacation and European Vacation came on one disk (one movie on each side). Great value for the price!!!

two great movies for a super price. if you love chevy chase you should own these if you don't already.

Both movies I can watch over and over again. Chevy Chase is so funny and enlighting! A must see for anyone who loves comedy!
