The band formerly known as Shihad has come out again and produced another excellent album. Pacifier's self titled album is a great rock out with some excellent riffs. Producer Josh Abrahams has obviously had an impact on the band and helped them make that fresh rock sound.Pacifier have got everything perfect; rocky guitars, aggressive vocals, groovy bass and "old skool" drumming. But, Pacifier also produce some more melodic tunes like "Home" and "Walls" which are great chill out songs and can nod your head to. Pacifier is a great NEW ZEALAND band and this album should be on your must get list.

New Zealand's best rock band,

Your editor has it wrong. Yes they were formally known as Shihad but they have always been from New Zealand. The single Comfort Me carries on where they left off on the album The General Electric. Inovative guitar rifts with a solid base line. As good a rock band as there is around at the moment. This will be the single that busts the door down in America for them. If you like on the on the edge hard rock these guys are number one, on album or live.

Pacifier are a brilliant New Zealand band who have just released their self titled album in New Zealand on the 16/08/02. Formerly known as Shihad, but having to change their name for release in the states because it was too similar to Jihad; they have come back from a long break after the release of 'The General Electric' which took off all over the world. This single has the wonderful song 'Comfort Me' on it with its catchy tune ; it is enough to make anyone love it. Well worth the money but if you can, its better to go for the full Pacifier CD although it is a fair bit more expensive. This CD may not be as hard rock as The General Electric but still very much the same category of Hard Rock. >Enjoy< |
