5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome bed!
I looked at TONS of beds before taking the plunge on this one that I couldn't find any reviews for....
I went to like 5 different pet stores & felt so many "orthopedic" beds that I could squash btwn by thumb & forefinger...pathetic. I was debating for days between the Caddis Beasley couch & this one...the caddis has fantastic reviews, but I started noticing that...

3.0 out of 5 stars dog bed
The bolster pet bed is very comfortable for my doberman but the sheepskin material sheds all over the house, gets dirty, and full of hairs immediately. I would suggest a darker, stronger material bed for your pet.

I looked at TONS of beds before taking the plunge on this one that I couldn't find any reviews for....
I went to like 5 different pet stores & felt so many "orthopedic" beds that I could squash btwn by thumb & forefinger...pathetic. I was debating for days between the Caddis Beasley couch & this one...the caddis has fantastic reviews, but I started noticing that many people were talking about buying a new one every 6 months cause the top material is so thin. I can NOT afford that!!!

So I risked this one & couldn't be happier. The foam is nice & thick (its not memory foam, but I knew that). And the top material seems pretty nice and thick, so hopefully it will last years.

My dog loves it too...I got my 40lb shepherd a large, and it is huge...but perfect if he wants to stretch out...he can completely fit on it. When he curls up in a ball, he barely takes up 1/3 of it though, haha.

Anyways, I haven't tried to take it apart yet to wash it...I can't figure out though if the bolster actually detaches from the top material, so washing could be tricky. I'll report back though if its a huge problem.

Overall this seems like a bed that is built to last...I'll def come back & review if it falls apart sooner than I expect...but I really am planning on having this for years!

4.0 out of 5 stars love it, November 5, 2010

I have 3 dogs who are used to sleeping with me and sleeping on the couch. I thought they would never go for a dog bed but all 3 take turns laying in it. I got a large and boy it is large. I have 2 65 pound dogs, Both German Shephard mixes and I could have sized down to a medium.
The bed looks good in the living room floor.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not thick, not supportive, August 26, 2011

This review is from: Comfort Pet Products Flip Orthopedic Bolster Pet Bed, Large, Navy Blue (Misc.)
I purchased this bed upon the recommendations on this site, and I have to say that I was pretty disappointed when I got the bed. The bed I got did not have a very thick bottom mat nor did the bolsters have a very high fill power. You barely had to squeeze the bolsters and they would be completely compressed - same with the mat. Not only that, but the way the bolsters were configured, they often spread out and sort of "flopped" open without providing any real support. Unless your dog weights less than 20lbs, I cannot see this bed offering any type of orthopedic support. My 40lbs. Shiba easily hit the ground while sleeping in this bed.

I would highly suggest taking a look at the Comfort Pet Products Orthopedic Foam Beastly Bed, 48-Inch, Navy Blue as a more viable alternative to this bed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bed, June 30, 2011
My English Bulldog loves this bed. I bought the medium last year for her and she fit, although rather snuggly. It became an extra bed in the family room and was her favorite. I just purchased the large for her (it's more than enough room!) as her primary bed and she's in heaven. Cleaning is very easy - zipper in tucked in between the bolster and mattress, bolster goes into the washer, too. I use a fitted crib sheet to cover and reduce the number of times I actually have to wash the whole bed. A little large for the medium bed, perfect for the large.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wow, it's big!, April 7, 2011

This review is from: Comfort Pet Products Flip Orthopedic Bolster Pet Bed, Large, Navy Blue (Misc.)
I got this bed for my Chocolate Lab who had bone cancer because he was having trouble finding a comfortable position to lay in. For the most part he liked it; however, he would only lay on it for a short time. I was curious so I layed on it and found it to be quite comfortable. I found out why he didn't lay on it for long--it retains body heat very well. Needless to say my VERY furry Australian Shepard doesn't care for it much because she gets too hot. Just to let you get an idea of the how big the large is, I'm 5'6" and was able to lay on it on my side curled up comfortably.

2.0 out of 5 stars Didn't Hold Up, September 14, 2010

My dog likes it; however, she scratched a hole in it a week after it arrived. The fleece fabric was too thin so I would not recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very durable dog bed, July 20, 2011
Yes this dog bed is big, comfortable, and perfect for large dogs. What I was really impressed with was that it could stand up to the abuse that my dog, Fido, managed to unleashe upon it. All that chewing, all that scratching...It still looks good. This is one helluva durable bed.

I have an eight year old basset with two bad back legs. He loves the bed and it is almost as good as the Orvis bed we have that costs over $200.00

I spent days reading reviews and looking at different dog beds. I finally decided to go with this bed and I'm very happy that I did. For those of you who don't realize, this bed literally "flips", meaning you can use it with the white fleece on the bed part or you can flip it over and use the tan microsuede side as the bed side. The Bolster flips to either side. I read some reviews that the bed came opposite then what the picture shows, but you just need to flip the bolster. I bought the large and it fits my golden retriever wonderfully. I agree with some other reviews that the cream fleece could be thicker. It is quite thin and because of this I have the bed flipped to the tan microsuede side. The bed looks great on my living room floor. I am very happy with my purchase.
