The velcro that comes with this product isn't sufficient in my opinion. I happened to have some industrial strength velcro handy and used that instead and it's been up for 9 months now without problems. My cat is about 14 pounds and he leaps onto it several times a day. It doesn't wobble or move at all and he seems very comfortable.

This is a generally well made product but it will not work properly on narrow window sills. The problem is that the support piece underneath the perch will not contact the wall properly if mounted on a narrow window sill. You must wedge a thick piece of material between the wall and the support piece in order to keep the perch level. Otherwise, it slopes dramatically. Our perch works but it has a four inch thick pad wedged in to keep it level. The product should come a piece to compensate for what is surely a common problem.

It took me about 30 seconds to set this up although you have to let the velcro set for at least an hour before your cat can use it. As soon as he was allowed to, my cat jumped up on his new perch and lounged on it for over an hour. He's a 13 pound orange tabby and the perch is more then big enough for him. The velcro that comes with the item seems to be stable enough but even if it comes loose this is easily fixable by using industrial strength velcro that you can get really cheap at any department store. Plus the item got here 2 days after I ordered it with free shipping. I'm very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it.
