Product Description

Color: Sand Dune

This is the chair that brought bean bags out of the 1970s and into the bedrooms and dorm rooms all over the world. The first one to use patented memory foam, the Fuf is one-of-a-kind. Spend five minutes on a Fuf and your body will thank you for it.

My son's love this chair!

We opened the first one and it smelled and even after 2 weeks, the room it was in smelled like the chair.

I can very comfortable sit in this "bean bag" chair and I'm about 5'5" and 130.

Like many others, I read the negative reviews before ordering. My adivce: don't put too much stock in them. Now, I admit it is a legitimate concern/critique of the product if you buy multiple units of the "same" color at once and the colors don't match. I can't speak to that. I only bought one. But some of the others I read?? Really? Claiming that it was despicably advertised as a styrofoam beanbag chair (which it wasn't), or that it has no filling and you fall to the floor? Really people? Did you not read the directions?

It should be seen as a positve that they vacuum pack the sucker into an amazingly small box (considering the final size of the product) to cut on their shipping costs (and to make it possible to move the box around). It clearly states in the included information that you have to WAIT for it it attain its full expanded shape. Right away, you can get your hands "in there" and knead the memory foam blocks inside, pulling them apart (through the supple cover of course) and shifting them so that the expansion goes as fast as possible but no matter what ... you have to WAIT. They will continue to expand for some time - not exactly sure but I wouldn't be surprised if there was still some expansion going on at 7 or 8 days.

One fact that people need to be aware of though (and some other reviewers have mentioned) is that this thing is BIG and it is unwieldy. Memory foam is heavy. I haven't weighed it on a scale but it would not surprise me to learn it is 20 - 30 lbs. and its size and composition makes that feel more like 50 or 60 lbs. So, even though it is a FANTASTIC chair/bag for kids, it isn't going to be easy for many of them to adjust/move it.

Let me start by saying that we bought two of these, at the same time, and when they arrived they were not the same. They are made of a different material, have different filling characteristics and are two different shades of brown.
From the picture, it appears that you can sit, somewhat, upright in the chair. This is not the case, you basically lay on your back in it.
With that said, it is fairly comfortable. You can 'feel' the big chunks of foam in it, but it's not terrible.
As others have mentioned, it is a single shell chair, so do not expect to be able to easily wash it.

My biggest disappointment is with the customer service at Comfort Research.

I'm a graduate student and I do a lot of reading so I wanted something comfortable and low to the ground to sit on so I could throw my books on the floor while I'm working and still have them easily accessible. For a while I had been daydreaming about making my own foam filled giant "bean bag" chair. My boyfriend was very much against it for several reasons, and as I was doing research on the DIY beanbag chair I started to see how making my own could become a total mess and cost over $100. I really don't have the time to make my own right now, and $100 was about the max I wanted to spend, so when I found this beauty on Amazon I decided to give it a go, bad reviews be darned. I figured potentially wasting $116 on Amazon was a lot better than spending the same amount to make my own, and make a mess out of it. And I am so glad I bought this instead.
Out of the box (which was kind of awful to carry up the stairs) it was a foam cube rock. It didn't do anything cool when it was released from its tethers, it just kind of sat there like a cube rock. I was able to easily pull the chunks apart through the fabric, and did a little bit of punching and kicking and it soon became a giant foam blob. I did a "running" (swiftly walking) jump onto it and it and it was kind of fun. I didn't break any bones or anything. I like to change positions a lot when I read so I have no idea if sitting stationary causes it to sink down into the floor. I'm sitting on it right now as I type and it's morphed itself into an almost arm chair shape. As soon as I'm finished, I'm going to fluff it up again and jump on it so I can lie down on it like a squishy, short bed.
As I write this, I realize that I do a lot of jumping and falling onto this thing, and maybe that's the key. I could see how, at it's full fluffed-up height, it looks horribly uncomfortable. My arthritic cat avoids it unless I am already on it. But if you jump or fall into it, it forms a perfect little cocoon of comfort around your body.

My first bean bag, did a bunch of research and looking at the product picture it seemed a good buy. The model in the picture was sitting comfortably and sitting upright. When I put in the order there were no reviews ( item was backordered). I almost forgot about it till I received an email saying that my item was shipped. I came back to the prouct page to find out 2 reviews which did not potray the product in positive light. I was still hoping it would turn out OK for me.

Well I was wrong. Let me start by giving an idea how it was shipped. The product came vacuum sealed in a a box. I had to rip open the box since the bag was pushing against the walls of the box and impossible to yank it out. They box was tied up with plastic flat tape so it held up fine.

I opened it ( see pictures uploaded) and let it expand. The filling inside is pieced up foam ( it does not seem like memory foam - just regular foam). Once I fluffed it up - I sat on it and.... BAM.... hit the floor. The filling does not provide enough support. I re-fluffed it to have more filling in the center but when I sat on it , there did not seem to be any back support...I just fell back. So there was no way I was going to be able to sit upright in this thing. I tried many times but failed. Finally I re-named it..... Bean Bed.

Not sure what to do with it now...my dog Whiskey seems to be eyeing it. Give it to her ....return it to Amazon...can't make up my mind. It's not small - it occupied too much space in my TV room so I moved it to the living room for the time being till I figure out how to better utilize it. Whiskey still thinks it's her new bed. I am going to talk with Amazon on how to process a return if possible.
