The seam along the top where the handle attaches is split and balls are starting to leak.

If you're overweight, the chair might not be that comfortable because when you sit on it and make it conform the arms do raise -- however this hasn't been an issue.

I got the chair so that I could have a comfy chair in my bedroom to play video games and watch some tv. The chair is average comfort and the beans adjust frequently causing you to fluff it after every use. I am 6'4, and a college student, so if you get it for your kids this would be a great bean bag alternative. The material is very durable, not the comfiest. It comes with a mini compartment and a bottled drink holder sewn in the side.. Useless since your 6inches higher than the floor in this.

So if your on a budget like me, and don't have enough room for a nice recliner, then this is probably your best option. I guarantee you won't fall asleep in it though lol. If your tall it's a lot less comfyier.

**Bottom seam problem as stated on other reviews happened to mine.. The stitching came apart and now all this thing does is release beans all over the place. Not a recommended purchase.

This chair arrived hella fast compared to the estimated time i got when buying it. Just got it and im a 130 pound 5'6 college student and i was worried it wouldn't seat me but i fit perfectly, wish it could be a bit taller though but it's great. I'll probably write a new review after about 3-4 months of use at my college house but otherwise it looks great, feels great, and arrived great. thanks ^^

***UPDATE 1-30-12***
I've had this chair since September 2011 and so far it's doing fine.
Only issue is...at one point a few threads were sticking out *so i had to cut them off*
also, if u stay in one place for a while the place is imprinted for a while...i had to sort of
jump on it to make the whole seating area even again (i hope u guys get wot i'm tryna say lol)
I got this chair way back when and now that I see the price is much higher i'd recommend searching for it
somewhere else...cause that price is WAY too high for it's worth,
even though I like it...I wouldn't pay more than 30 bucks for it!

***UPDATE 5-8-2013***
The chair needs to be given a funeral now. It's completely flattened and looks like a weird blob (even the whole chair look it used to have won't come back). It's most likely in need of massive bean replacement, but I have no clue if I'd find some worth the price.
My conclusion: If you want a beanbag chair to last more than a year or two...well...buy "bean" replacements for this one and that too, I don't know if it'll workout since I don't wanna waste my money on possibilities.
Like in my last update: Don't pay more than 30 bucks for it!

We ordered a few of these for our youth room for our high school youth, and they LOVE them! It's sometimes hard to find something that isn't made just for children. But this chair works for almost any age, is made of a great, washable material, and is comfortable too! Great purchase for the price!

I read plenty of reviews about this product being stinky, but I got it anyway. I bought it from Walmart because I thought maybe buying from a different seller would give it a different smell. Nope! I think the smell is in both the beans and the fabric. It smells like nasty plastic chemicals. It gives me a strong headache and it instantly smells up any room you put it in. People with low smell sensitivity should still beware. These kinds of smells mean bad chemicals that are bad for all of us, especially little kids. It's a shame because it was exactly what I was looking for otherwise and I can't find anything else like it on the market.

I bought these chairs (2) for my boys 3 and 7 years old. At first we all really liked them, even though they don't hold their "chair" shape and the kids ended up on the floor leaning against them half the time. After about 2 months, however, one of them broke wide open when my seven year flopped down into it (he's about 45lbs)and the little white balls inside went everywhere. The entire seam along the bottom came apart. The second chair is also now falling apart only a few weeks later. The seam along the top where the handle attaches is split and balls are starting to leak. My husband wants to duck tape them up but if I wanted that look I would have stuck with my 10$ bean bag that I got at walmart seven years ago, which was just starting to look raggy when I bought these to replace it. Needless to say I don't recommend you spend money on these.

We've had two of these chairs for approx. 5 months. They've held up well in a kids room and have seen lots of abuse, and despite my earlier concerns we haven't experienced a problem with odor or spitting seams as other reviewers mention. They did flatten out a lot though so I ordered the refill beans. This is when things got interesting... I found the zipper on the bottom but it was missing the pull tab. Looked at the other chair and it was the same so I determined it was intentional. It makes sense really, as you don't want the zipper opening up easily and the chair to spring a leak. I went on-line to see if there was any advice. I found a review that suggested pliers. And a McGyveresque sensibility. In the other reviewer's case, she was able to budge the zipper with the pliers but then couldn't get it closed again and had to sew up the seam which of course burst later down the road. I returned to my chair with a set of pliers in hand, but the zipper wasn't moving. I didn't want to force it and have the problem of being unable to close it again so I returned to the computer. This time I did a search for the manufacturer and called the number listed for Comfort Research. A lovely lady answered the phone and directed me to use a paper clip as a tab for the zipper. I was skepital. If pliers wouldn't budge the thing, what chance would a flimsy paper clip have? It turns out, it had an excellent chance and the zipper opened easily with the gentlest of encouragement. The second zipper underneath the first does in fact have a tab. I would rank the whole exercise of refilling the beans as highly comically and slightly manic. Styrofoam beans, conjoined by static electricity, have a mind of their own and it's not necessarily to follow your direction into the opening of the chair.Read more ›
