this is a very beutiful product. i have had it for only 1 week so cannot attest to the durablility of the product or the hinges. the woodwork is awsome. completely blows you away. the seat looks like a work of art. i keep going to the bathroom to see it.very very nice. the hinges are brass and look nice too.the seat is very comfortable. however unlike the description on the amazon site this is not a soft close seat. it is the conventional seat that will slam down if you leave it.

overall a very nice and comfortable product.

It may just be a toilet seat, but it exudes quality and class. It goes beautifully with our bathroom and we couldn't be more satisfied, and that includes the cost.

Looks like a piece of furniture. Color is very dark. Was easy to install. I have no idea why it is called a comfort seat. It is just wood and no more comfortable than any hard seat.

Creaks a bit when you sit on it. But sure much nicer than what I got from Home Depot a couple years ago.

I plan to buy more to replace the others that look really tacky in comparison. Worth the money. The hardware is exceptional.

It is not soft close.

I absolutely love this seat! I went to a couple of local home improvement stores looking for toilet seats and didn't want the typical plastic seats. I looked through the "special order" books but those prices were outrageous!

Not only is it a nice thick piece of wood it is completely sealed with a high gloss shine. This makes it so easy to keep clean and neat. Cloth seat covers are, well, nasty. This furniture style cherry wood seat cover just looks so beautiful in my bathrooms.

I would suggest this seat to everyone!

THIS DESIGNER WOOD SEAT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL I'VE EVER SEEN. THE FINISH IS LIKE A PIECE OF FINE FURNITURE. THE COLOR IS AS IT APPEARED IN THE AD, THEREFORE, I RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY. PS: THE SHINE IS LIKE A MIRROR!!

Purchased two for our home bathrooms. These unit are very well made. Installation was a snap. Since we have been using these for several months it appears that they will stand up very well. They appear to be a quality product. Granted, these are more pricey that the local big box stores, but we feel these will look very nice for many years.

If you want an attractive and quality seat we recommend you purchase one of these.

This is the second toilet seat by this maker, Comfort Seats, that I have purchased in the last 5 weeks. First one was a light oak and it was too light. This one is a mahogany and looking at the picture I thought it would work but it's waaay dark. But these seats are awesome!! They are thick, well made and absolutely drop dead beautiful!! I wouldn't hesitate purchasing another one if it came in a medium oak. You know coloring in pictures can deceive. Our monitors are mostly to blame. We are making these work in other bathrooms. My mistake was well worth it. I have never seen wooden toilet seats this well made.

These have the most beautiful finish I have seen. I love these and everyone asks where I got them. Very satisified with this purchase!

I Still Can't Get Over the Cost to Value!!! This cover is the highest of quality at a fabulous price!! It's a "10"!!!!!

Item is highly polish (piano finish style). Very elegant looking. It is a traditional close (ie not a soft close item).
