5.0 out of 5 stars "bowled" me over!
The Comfort Toilet seat is a quality product that was well constructed and suited for the ''purpose". Especially liked the slow, non-clanging lid closure .. neat feature. Adding a video clip here of the seat in use would have probably been a little too much information!! But, suffice to say, it was well worth the price overall!

1.0 out of 5 stars Item: good. Instructions: pathetic
Overall it's a well-made, lightweight toilet seat with an open front and a "slow closing" feature so little fingers can't get slammed in the lid(s), I guess. This deserves three stars. It is what it is, a pricey but well-made toilet seat.

This thing shipped with a toilet seat, bolts, nuts, two rubber pads which I can figure out -- it also shipped...

This review is from: Comfort Seats C1B3R4-OS-00 EZ Close Premium Plastic Open Front Round Toilet Seat, White (Tools & Home Improvement)
This toilet seat is very smooth so it makes it easy to clean,it has no seams. The toilet seat will drop down slowly so that it won't slam on the ceramic and wake up the neighbors.

5.0 out of 5 stars I bought based on the reviews & I'm satisfied, November 20, 2011

I read the reviews and bought taking advantage of the free shipping deal. They arrived and I installed them on 2 commodes in a heartbeat using just a screwdriver. Nice grade of strong smooth plastic & they work as advertised. I also like that where the seat attaches to the toilet is solid with no gap or space so no urine gets under there like most seats and becomes a pain to clean and/or leads to rust & corrosion of the screws - they're keepers.

4.0 out of 5 stars What I was looking for, September 30, 2011

After my molded wood toilet seat started to become stained and delaminate, I wanted a replacement that would avoid those two problems. This one fit the bill: plastic with an open front to avoid the drips. I didn't have any problem with installation; you just orient the metal inserts so that the seat lines up the best with your toilet and then screw it down. It is narrower and thinner than I would prefer, but I can't see spending a hundred dollars for a high-end toilet seat. The thinness puts you closer to the bowl than I would like and I wouldn't want to read a book on it, but that's not my style. The lid overhangs the seat which is handy if you plan to sit down, but takes some getting used to if you're raising both. The soft close is extremely slow with the light weight, so I usually just slam it most of the way down before flushing. It does seem fairly durable and I expect it to last.

This thing shipped with a toilet seat, bolts, nuts, two rubber pads which I can figure out -- it also shipped with four small metal inserts. This was incredible frustrating since the instruction sheet mentioned no metal insert and the web page was "under construction." I called the phone number and they said that another company was now handling the toilet seat business. I finally called them up and they told me how the metal inserts worked. I mentioned to them that they might want to include them on the instruction sheet. Maddening lack of information, I didn't know if I was supposed to use the clips together somehow to make the seat close slowly or what.
