I bought this seat because it was an EZ Close Seat. The seat was a good color match and performed well for about 6 months. The EZ Close feature stopped working and the seat slammed shut. I called Amazon and was referred to the manufacturer. The phone representative at Comfort Seats seemed surprised that I called and she insisted that all warranty matters should be dealt with by Amazon. I asked for a replacement and was reluctantly told that I would get one. Suffice it to say that it never came.

I'm aware that the responsibility for replacement rests with the manufacturer. I called Amazon customer service to relate my bad experience. Amazon is shipping a replacement. One bad product doesn't necessarily make it a product to avoid, but a company should stand behind its products and honor a one year warranty. It good to know that Amazon is there for us, especially when the manufacturer isn't.
