First off for clarification, Comfort Seats is the brand, and by no means infers that they are indeed comfortable for everyone. That aspect is going to be subjective - what is fine for one might not for another. On that aspect, I will note that wood seats are heavier and solid feeling, whereas plastic seats will have a bit of give.

Which leads me to this seat. It's white, it's wood, the seat surface is convex (meaning it's slightly raised as opposed to how some are tapered inwards), and has the slow close feature. That last feature is what makes it stand out - no more seat slam. While I haven't had it long enough to comment on its durability, the finish quality is good. It is made (crafted) in China.

Where I could see an issue, it's that the slow-close mechanism spans between the two mounting points, making the area there a haven for dirt and residue. As there is no quick-release mount on these, cleaning won't be so easy. For that reason, I knocked off 2 stars. Depending on the price, it may still be worthwhile, but at regular price, I would opt for the competitor's product.
