5.0 out of 5 stars Ana Takes US by Storm
I had the chance to meet Ana at the WC Handy awards in Memphis this year. She played at a couple of jams and took everybody by suprise. She is a well versed guitar player/song writer. Her new CD, Comfort to the Soul has something for everyone. Since her first CD Hush, she has grown even more as an artist in her own right. I would recommend this CD highly! Don't be...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing New
Well i saw anna on a video from a woonsocket, RI (USA) club and was totally impressed with her guitar virtuosity. very much reminded me of hendrix and rory gallagher amoung others. this cd however was a disapointment. it's very much packaged material and the sound production is awful. i'm a drummer and so i'm always keen to the drum sound. this cd pretty much loses the...

Don't be left out on what's happening in the music world. Ana is sure to become a household name. If you get a chance to see her live I would make every effort to do so! She is even better live than on her albums! Love and Blues...........

What a great cd!.Bought Ana's two cds out of curiosity after reading an interveiw with her and haven't been able to stop playing them since.Comfort to the soul is more bluesy funk with some amazing lead and slide guitar work and good songs, both Ana's and the covers chosen. So do yourself a favour and buy this cd from this incredible artist, you will not be disappointed if you injoy good music, infact treat yourself and buy both her cds.

5.0 out of 5 stars She's got blues, November 19, 2008

She's got blues in her fingers and in her soul.
Very talented guitar player. I recommend for everyone who like electric blues (guitar) music.

Here is some more of Miss Popovic, doing some wonderful things with her voice and her guitar. Her band is none too shabby, either.

3.0 out of 5 stars good band poor vocals., October 3, 2011
This review is from: Comfort To The Soul (Audio CD)
I wish there was some way to listen to just the band and take out the vocals. don't like the voice. don't care for the subject of the songs. Might be better if she could get somebody else to front as vocalist or maybe a guy to duet with her. Probably won't buy anymore of her records.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hmmmm, February 13, 2004

In a few spots, she may be beginning to find "her sound" or "her voice," but in my opinion, most of it sounds like she's in sort of a Tinsley Ellis meets Deborah Coleman mode. A bit over-produced and "busy" overall.

Ana, give us your version of some stripped-down Delta or Chicago blues in your next effort. At least a coupla tunes each... show us you can hold back and let the music rip our hearts out.

Please lose the chorus pedal.
