As a collectible, comic books have seen a steady rise in value over the past 70+ years and, even given the inevitable market place ups and downs, as an investment property, comics have performed more reliably than the stock market. Every category of collectible requires an authoritative, detailed, and up-to-date guide to values. For comic books that guide is the Krause Publications edition of the "Comic Book Price Guide 2010", an 800-page compendium featuring more than 150,000 listings; 3,000 photos; and reliably expert pricing. The individual comics are presented alphabetically by title. Of special note is a photo grading guide to help dealers and collectors to evaluation a comic's physical condition accurately with respect to its value as a collectible. I've recently started toying with idea to start collecting comics, but with so many out there, it's pretty overwhelming to know where to start. This book, however, has been a huge help. It's packed with vital information and thousands of comics covers for easy identification. I also trust the folks at Comics Buyer's Guide to have reliable pricing.

If you're looking for a basic price guide to tell you what the comics you have are worth, then Comic Book Price Guide is for you. Using the Comics Buyer's Guide/ComicBase database of comics titles and values, this black and white volume gives the average collector all they need to have a good idea of the worth of their collection.

You can see the specifics up above, so you already know what's inside. You can easily identify and find your comics by alphabetical title listings and with the aid of the thousands of photos. And, the grading guide with photos for each condition, plus the most common defects, is an invaluable resource in helping figure out those comics values.
