Groucho is the Professor, Chico the dumb Italian immigrant, and Harpo the silent clown. We also have a gag analysis of three celebrated scenes: the stateroom scene in A Night at the Opera, the mirror scene in Duck Soup, and "tootsie-frootsie" ice cream scene in a Day at the Races. The book also has a detailed consideration of the jokes and gags in all fifteen of the Marx Brothers' movies.
