Thought this would be a great present for my 3.5 year old. How could you go wrong with 3 dress-up costumes in one package. But you get what you pay for. These costumes are just tunics (open/no seam on the sides) that go over the child's head and tie around the child's waist. The cape does hide the tie. The material does not seem very durable and actually seems very cheap. The masks are much better and seem of higher quality. However...my son loves it. Put Batman on Christmas morning, and he wore it all day. Only took it off to take his pajamas off to put on his Christmas outfit. He wouldn't even take it off for our pictures, gave up on the fight. Maybe he loves it because it doesn't get hot like many dress-up costumes, it is wide open on the sides. In the long run, he is very happy with it, so that trumps my opinion.

My 3 yr old son LOVES this set. He and his sister dress up like Batman and Robin everyday. He doesn't use the shin guards though and they are just taking up space in his trunk. The fabric is a little cheap and I am afraid to wash it for fear that the design will disappear, but he is getting great use out of it and it is a lot of fun. The capes are a little long and I worried at first that they would get caught or pulled, but they haven't yet so it hasn't been an issue for us.

I would recommend this set to any little boy or girl who loves to dress up and loves superheroes.

My son has always been a Batman fan. We first purchased this product when he was 2yrs old, so he could stop wearing his sisters' princess dress-up clothes. It is now three years later and he still wears it practically everyday ... sometimes even two costumes at once for extra powers. He also carries a costume in his backpack everywhere we go, in the event there is an emergency that requires a superhero. These costumes are simple for him to get on and off without parental assistance unlike the regular jumpsuit hero costumes sold during Halloween. This Summer we happen to be at the Jersey shore on Superhero day and since he had his costumes with him, he was able to join in all the dress-up fun without being overly hot. He even let his sisters borrow the other costumes, so they could participate in the various contests. We all had a blast.

The set we originally purchased had a black Batman mask and has been very durable. We wash them quite often, because he wears them almost non-stop. The fabric hasn't faded and none of the symbols have washed off. I wash them in cold water, with Tide HE. I, also, add Oxyclean if there are heavy stains dry it on low. They are still going strong after three years. We love this product so much that it is the birthday gift we give to his friends at their birthday parties. We have received nothing but compliments.

P.S. He wants Santa to get him a 2nd set this year, so that he can have the same "blue mask" that the Batman, Brave and the Bold wears.

I purchased this set of 3 super hero costumes for my grandkids. They LOVE them. They are easy to put on as the cape is attached to the front piece. They were purchased as Halloween costumes but the boys love them so much that they may be worn out by then! A great buy!

It's a nice set for the money. Everyone (boys and girls) who come over want to use the costumes and I love that they go over their heads so they won't outgrow them too quickly. The cape is great and attached so it can't fall off. It's perfect on my 5 year old son, and a bit long on 3 year olds, but you can pull up the cape when you tie the waist.

I've read so many reviews that people are buying this set for kids around 3. I have a 5 and a 7 and at first I was reluctant to make the purchase until I saw a picture of an adult wearing it. Because these are basically vests with string-tied back and cape attached, I believe they can be used for older kids. The cape length was perfect, not short for even my 7 year old. As a matter of fact, I put the batman costume on myself and it fits just fine. However, if you are looking for something fancy or a full suit for your children, you may want to look somewhere else. Also, watch for the sales. I bought mine for around $20 with free shipping. I am definitely pleased with this purhase.

I bought this just in case another costume I ordered didn't arrive in time. After seeing this costume kit, it was all either of my boys (2yrs and 4yrs) would wear, despite the multiple opportunities to try something different. They held up well after a hand-washing AND even after machine washing. The chocolate, candy, dirt and mud washed out easily. The boys were able to layer this over their clothing layers easily (it was a cold Halloween). I highly recommend this less expensive alternative to any superhero costume, especially if you are a busy working parent or have more than one child. We even received compliments from other parents while out trick-or-treating!

I gave this to my son for his 2nd birthday. The capes are a little long for him, but it hasn't been a problem. He loves them and will be able to wear them for several years if the material hold ups to wear and tear.

Read the description and it clearly states these are capes. This is a great pretend toy or even Halloween costume for boys who especially do NOT like dressing up. They are super festive but not at all confining. Our son hates costumes but he has worn these capes for years for Halloween (ages 2 through even now at age 9).

The beauty of these costumes is that they look great and are so simple to put on. They are one piece of material that is put on over you kids head with a tie behind their back. My kids wore them all summer. The fabric is thin but has held up with several washings. Great costumes for the price.
