the fit was perfect, even though it was an 8 to 10 it said it fit a 5 to 7 year old and they were right, very realistic and the fiber optics were great!

My 5 year old son flipped out over this costume. While it was more than I wanted to spend, I didn't want to disappoint my only child, so I went ahead and ordered.

First - why is the size small several dollars more than the size medium? That makes no sense. My first mistake, I paid it anyway + shipping since it was not being sold through Amazon.

My second mistake. The package arrived, and I didn't open it for a week knowing that I would have a crazed child begging me to wear it. When I finally did open it two days before his Halloween party, there is no battery pack. I checked to see if I could get another with overnight delivery, and that option is not available for the size small. Additionally, shipping has increased from $2.99 to $19.99. What?!?! Now I've got a sobbing child, and no clue if I can find this costume locally.

Bless you Amazon for Prime. I ordered a size medium, knowing it would be huge, but also knowing I could get the stupid costume next day delivery and . And indeed I did, complete with battery pack. Which contained two corroded batteries leaking battery acid. Fortunately, that cleaned up, and Superman is somewhat sparkling, which makes for a very happy 5 year old. Thankfully, he hasn't noticed 1/2 the lights don't light up......yet.

Purchased this Halloween costume for my 6 year old. When it arrived, the battery case was clearly corroded as it was covered in a greyish residue, and obviously the fiber optic lights did not work. Set it back and was happy to receive a new costume extremely quickly. HOWEVER, the fiber optic lights are HORRIBLE. Some of them light up, some of them don't. Sometimes the lights are nice and bright, sometimes you can barely see them in a pitch black room. I am so sorry I ever purchased this item, and needless to say this one will be getting returned as well. Just wish I didn't have to watch my son cry over the fact that he can't have the costume he wanted for Halloween. This item is a piece of garbage and I strongly recommend you don't put your kid through what I just put mine through. Save your money, you'll only have to send it back anyway! REALLY DISAPPOINTED AND UPSET!!!!!!!!!
