This guy should have been a nationally known artist for the last 10 years. I have all of his albums now. They are a must have for jazz lovers.

I wandered into a nightclub and discovered Marcus Johnson for the first time! He has a very good sound and his music is fun! Too often jazz tends to get too serious or heavy. Marcus plays an uptempo R&B influenced jazz. If you like the smooth jazz sound you must get some Marcus Johnson. After the show I purchassed two CDs. I kept this one for myself and it's great cruising music for the car. My girl has the new one. Marcus is a friendly guy who puts on a fun show! Check him out if he comes to your area. He is based in DC but he and his band travel.
