5.0 out of 5 stars Underground's Greatest
Your underground collection is not complete without 8 Ball's and MJG's Coming Out Hard. This actually put crunk southern music on the map b4 it blew up out of control and made radio play and syndication. First there was the down south booty shake and then came the underground southern pimp/gangsta. This CD is sooooo hot, i have had to re-purchase it a total of 5 times,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Bootleg CD
Volume was recorded extremely low on the CD. Most Likely a bootleg copy sold as though it was new.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fire!!!, September 14, 2004

This is straight good music. These are pioneers of the south right along with Scarface. From the intro to the end it is straight bump. Enough Said!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another early classic from Ball & G, May 14, 2009
By
This review is from: Comin Out Hard (Audio CD)
This is the 1st album the 2 put out on a major label, and like their other 2 other Suave House albums (from 1994 & 1995) it's a classic. Of the 8 group albums, this and their "On the Outside Looking In" and "On Top Of The World" are all classics, the other 5 are good as are the majority of the two's solo albums. With only 8 songs it's not the longest album, but all are good or almost classic material. No guests on on this one and the beats are straight Suave House 1990's G-Funk southern style beats that are banging. Each one has 1 solo on here as well. Like always, you get some gangsta and some pimp tales with some very well told stories throughout the album. A must have album from two of the best to do it out of the south.

#2 - 9.5 (Great beat)
#3 - 8 (some tales about Pimpin')
#4 - 9 (nice beat & story line about a robbery)
#5 - 8.5 (nice relaxing beat)
#6 - 9
#7 - 9.5 (Eightball solo -- tight beat)
#8 - 8
#9 - 8 (MJG solo)

EIGHTBALL -- Premro Smith -- b.~1971 -- Memphis, TN
MJG -- Marlon Jermaine Goodwin -- b. 1/9/72 -- Memphis, TN

5.0 out of 5 stars Not because of my size!!!!, October 18, 1999

Eight Ball & MJG iz one of the BEST to come out. The ONLY other duo that you can compare then with may be Run DMC. This Cd along with EVERY OTHER they have made is a must...It NEVA gets removed from the CD playa in tha ride. I'm having trouble locating their CD that have BREAK-A-BYOTCHE COLLEGE on it and LAY IT DOWN...maaannnnnn I'm telling y'all to LOCATE ALL of their Cd's...ALL OF 'EM IZ TIZIGHT!! If anyone out there know the name of that CD or know where I can find it on-line, hit a sista up thru e-mail! Mine got stolen a few years back. Like someone on here said...I keep Eight Ball & MJG's CD's right next to my Bible (and Bone). YA HEARD? Do they have a fan club address? From Eight Ball's #1 fan.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dirty South LEGENDS, September 23, 2005
This review is from: Comin Out Hard (Audio CD)
Personally I dont think the 90's West Coast scene even comes close to the Dirty South of the early 90's. The Blues, Soul, and G Funk is just leaking out the speakers on every song. So original and fresh. Houston, Texas (UGK, Geto Boys), Memphis, Tennesee(8 ball & MJG, Triple Six), and Atlanta (Outkast, Goodie Mobb)have made the biggest contributions to southern rap. Even if the North dont acknowledge these albums as classics, in the south niggas know whats up.

I heard this cd when it first came out in 1993 and I picked it up on cassette. Since then cassettes have phased out but "The Fat Mack" and MJG have not. I'm here to pick this classic up and I'm gonna rock it like it just came out. Mr. Big is the best cut on here (in my opinion) backed up by PIMPS. If your from the south, or at least like this type of music, then it's a must to have in your collection. Happy shopping and don't pass this one up! NEOSOUL06

Long before 50 Cent thought about making a song called P.I.M.P. and before the commericalism of bragging about how much ice you have, these two Memphis, Tenn. heavyweights stood. Eightball & MJG did it like no one else was doing it at the time. These cats dropped a 10 song classic. Check it out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Stuff, August 4, 2004
This review is from: Comin Out Hard (Audio CD)
Good short album which obviously shows the time they spent on each track because it is not lengthy the quality of each song is boosted up. All 8 tracks on here have a southern pimp flavor to them. 8ball and MJG used to have the weirdest style with a loud screaming type style which really didnt sound loud. But this album is better than Living Legends and everything else they put out.
