Laura Evans-Young studied creative writing at Avila College and has retired from Hallmark Cards, Inc. after twenty-five years of service in the Creative Division of that company. She is a life-long resident of Kansas City and is a nationally accredited flower show judge. She often writes with one of her three cats perched, vulture-like, on the top of her computer.
