Memphis Bleek has a lot to offer but he doesn't show it when he limits his lyrics to only a few things, Women, Money, and all the other flashy stuff people crave. Now he does open his mind up on some tracks letting you know his potential. Besides that this album has some great production and that's where Bleek unleashes the real Bleek. Tracks like Stay alive in NYC, You a thug, and Regular cat. After hearing this album you start to realize in his more recent albums Bleek relies on his production to much but not on this he was hungrier and more aggressive than he is now. This is a nice album to have it's got mediocre lyrics nothing that stands out like his verse on Jay z's coming of age. Some songs wear on you and some start to get on your nerves but all together this is a decent debut.

This CD is a must for any true rap fan. if you dont have this cd then get it now and track number 7 ROCKS!

With almost 4 years in the rap game under his belt, at the time labeled as the future of the ROC, Bleek, displays the lyrics of an old head, and he just turned 21 a month and a half before this debut album dropped. With 12 solid songs (none on here that I skip), it has 3 classics, 5 to 7 good or great songs, and 2 to 4 average ones. Half the songs have guests on them. Production is handled by 10 different producers. Irv Gotti does 3 (2 w/ Mr. Fingers & 1 w/ Lil rob), J_Runnah does 2, and Pat Viala, Buvkwild, Swizz Beats, Haph, Omen, Big Demi, Burn Unit all do 1. Amust have rap album and one of the best of 1999.

When I first got this album I felt that I had wasted my money. He sounds great with JAy Z on J's cd and on clue's lp but he is only decent on this cd. I must admit it did grow on me and now i listen to it every now and again. Not great but good if you love roc a fella get it otherwise back off.

I have to admit that I do like this LP. It kinda grew on me throughout these years. Lyrically he does have his moments. Overall, this is the only record from him I think you should check out.

Memphis Bleek is, in my opinion, one of the most under rated rappers out. This is Bleek's first album. One of my favorite songs is "Memph Bleek is". He gets alot better as the years go on. This album is worth a listen, and his other albums are a must in any hip hop fan's collect. Also, Bleek is from Marcy Projects in Brooklyn, not Queens, like someone suggested.

At first I thought Made was better but the more i Listen this is better. It is more creative and has more lyrical content.What also shocked is when they said he was 16 when he recorded this. When this came out they should of treated it better. Lil Wayne and all them wack dudes came out at 16 and got more love then Bleek and he is 80 times better than them.

Thi s album is great. Its about time for Memphis Bleek to shine and he did it in a great way. The whole ablum is good and i know the rest of his albulms will be great too with th same kind of flavor might get older but music grows witha person so get this album.

At first i thought this album was goin gto be wack, when u hear dat cd u wont have any doubts that he is one of the bets young mc's. He is da future of hip-hop. This album has phat background sounds, and beats. His lyrics will get better over time u need to cop this
