5.0 out of 5 stars Global Activism Exposed
Ever wondered why John Rocker is so broadly and loudly villified for coarse, but effete, remarks when the intolerant fulminations of many on the left(most of who are globalists) are ignored or, even worse, respected. Or why it is okay to splatter dung on a sacred religious icon in a publicly supported museum but it is harmful to carry a bible into the classroom...

1.0 out of 5 stars he really believes that his country can survive isolated
The origins of this book can be found in the fear. The author really believes that his country is the only one that really matters in the world... it's exactly what we could wait from a blind conservative like this. The only problem is that history continues...

5.0 out of 5 stars Global Activism Exposed, February 5, 2000
This review is from: The Coming Collision (Paperback)
Ever wondered why John Rocker is so broadly and loudly villified for coarse, but effete, remarks when the intolerant fulminations of many on the left(most of who are globalists) are ignored or, even worse, respected. Or why it is okay to splatter dung on a sacred religious icon in a publicly supported museum but it is harmful to carry a bible into the classroom? Still trying to figure out why we bombed Kosovo/Serbia into oblivion? If these are puzzling to you then read this book !

While the author doesn't make any explicit reference to the above, after reading this book you should have a better understanding of how and why our culture is set on its end. Hirsen, a very gifted author, makes this fine book a very easy read although the first few chapters are mindful of a Dostoevsky novel where the reader has to first attach the diminutives(UN acronyms)to the names(organizations/organizers.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Will the UN be the UNdoing of American liberties?, December 14, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Coming Collision (Paperback)
Before you dismiss criticism of the UN and other international organizations as the ravings of "black helicopter" cranks, read this extraordinary study by a conservative commentator who is also a practicing attorney. Prof. Hirsen documents that the UN is increasingly seeking expanded, supranational powers for itself, powers that are intended to displace both traditional American sovereignty and individual liberties. For example, this book reveals that in a secret codex of the 1992 UN Biodiversity Treaty (which President Clinton signed after his predecessor refused to), there are plans for the set-aside of vast, "human-free" zones within the territory of the United States (and not just limited to national parks, either) from which current human populations will necessarily be evacuated. "The Coming Collision" shows not only what is happening but also WHY it is happening. Simply put, a series of court decisions made earlier this century about the breadth of the constitutional treaty power, combined with the increasing abuse of so-called "executive agreements" (which are simply treaties enacted without the constitutional requirement of Senate ratification), have created a situation where UN treaties trump every other law in the US, including the Constitution! And all without the knowledge or consent of the American people. An essential book!

This book contains vital information for all Americans who care about our civil rights. Exposes the U.N. for the threat it poses to democracy. Very well written and very well researched, this one's a real eye opener! MUST READ!!!

Simply put, a series of court decisions made earlier this century about the breadth of the constitutional treaty power, combined with the increasing abuse of executive orders and compacts (which are simply treaties enacted without the constitutional requirement of Senate ratification), have created a situation where UN treaties enacted by "executive agreements" can potentially trump every other law in the US, even the Constitution itself! And all this was going on without the knowledge or consent of the American people--before, that is, the publication of "The Coming Collision." An essential book.

Just began reading this fascinating material and as a student of International Political Science,I'm having trouble putting this one down. I can't wait to finish 'The Comming Collision', it might just alter my longheld previous beliefs about Globalism.
