How do you tell people that the world they know is about to change? That the change amounts to a disaster? One thing for sure, you don't present them with a bunch of figures and technical jargon and say, "That's it, folks!"I have used the same story sceanario presented so successfully in, First Aid For The Disaster Stress Trauma Victim, A Guide and Self-help Manual For The Lay Person Treating disaster Stress Trauma Victims. People understand a story and we need to understand the problem. It is a story about a typical family's experience with January 1, 2000, and how they deal with the results. There is also a recounting of an old-timer's experience in the 1930's depression. That time it happened fast and with little warning. It is the closest thing to what is predicted for Y2K.This time we have warning and we had better take heed and prepare for it.I went through the depression, but like everybody else, I have no experience with what may happen with Y2K. That's! the best I can do. Some day the Survivors will measure its accuracy.
