5.0 out of 5 stars VERY TALENTED MUSICIAN, January 9, 2005

This review is from: Coming Home (Audio CD)
After listening to this cd I can honestly say that this is a very talented musician. I would rank him with Eric Darius and Grady Nichols as one of the top up and coming Smooth Jazz sax players. Being based in Italy hopefully he will receive the air time exposure he deserves here in the states.

My husband and I discovered Amedeo Bianchi quite by accident after buying a number of 'unknown artist' CDs a few years ago; one of them was Amedeo's first CD entitled Rhythm of Life. We listened in the car, while driving the wide open spaces of Texas, and after few selections we looked at each other, each with the same thought....ALL these tracks are GREAT! Where has this musician been hiding??? We especially love Tantra and the title track Rhythm of Life, though most of the other songs would all be 'second choices!'

Amedeo is a gifted composer and musician. He is a talented student of music, and has written books and released instructional videos on the saxophone. He's from Italy and when we finally tracked him down to see what other CDs he may have, he turned out to be very personable, too, and we have enjoyed a friendship with him ever since!

We were so excited to know a new CD was on the way, Coming Home. Again, we'd be hard pressed to figure out which are the favorite songs, but Coming Home is a great song with just the right touch to convey the 'coming home' to friends when he travels here for some of his recording, and then finds himself 'coming home' to family and friends upon his return to Italy.

We think it won't be long before Amedeo is very well known in our country, as he is in Italy. We have recommended that he be included in our local jazz festival, which is one of the premium jazzfests in the country, the Berks Jazz Fest. We are hoping they will extend the invitation, and we are confident that the audience will get more than their money's worth!

You will not be disappointed with this CD, and we would recommend that you clamour for the production of more copies of Rhythm of Life, if you can't find that one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly A Superb CD, June 20, 2003
This review is from: Coming Home (Audio CD)
I have not heard of Amedeo in the past, but after listening to this CD I will be looking forward to his next -- this collection of songs exceeded my expectations.
The soulful sax and stellar musicianship throughout kept bringing me back for repeated listenings.
I particularly appreciated the recording quality and production of the album itself. I have listened to a lot and this is one of the best.
This CD is a great find and I would recommend it to anyone looking to sit back and just listen to some great music.
