Score another point for Walker!, April 9, 2008
This review is from: Coming in Last (Paperback)
When his uncle's firm is the victim of embezzlement, Jamie is called in to investigate. He sets his sights on nurse and day care coordinator Andi Morrow, who has suddenly had an increase in her income, but he soon realizes she is merely a scapegoat. Deciding to get close to her and use her as bait to draw the real culprit out, he doesn't count on falling for Andi. But will Andi be able to forgive his deception?
Walker has quickly become a stand out author for me. She mixes corporate intrigue with a little dash of mystery and amps up the sensuality to create a very steamy story. She has a gift for dialogue, lending her characters a ring of authenticity. Definitely one of the best "eroplotica" novels to come out of Elloras Cave!

An extremely sweet and sexy story!, September 8, 2008
This review is from: Coming in Last (Paperback)
This was an extremely sweet, sexy story between private investigator Jamie McAdams and day care worker Andi Morrow. Jamie is investigating a case of embezzlement at his godfather's plant and someone has pointed out Andi as the possible suspect. The moment he sees her, he knows she's not the embezzler. Even though she is living beyond her means as the runner of a day care, she smells sweeter than any woman he's ever known and has an air of innocence about her that he knows isn't fake. Not only does he know she's not a thief, he also knows he's just fallen for the only woman he's ever going to love. This sets up an eventual heartbreak because as he tries to stay clear of her, his business partner sets up a trap with Andi as the bait. This places her life in danger and wrecks her hard earned sense of family and trust within the plant. All Jamie can do is hope that Andi knows how much he cares for her when the plan is revealed, and pray that her sense of betrayal is outweighed by their newfound love.
This was my first Shiloh Walker book and I was extremely impressed by the depth she gave her characters, especially Andi. When Andi hurt, I hurt. The level of emotion that Shiloh poured into this story was heartbreaking and I loved every second of it. It starts off a little slow and it's a little disjointed in places but stick with it though, because it's going to be a beautiful ride. The sex was sizzling and inventive. All I'm going to say is, "I love shower scenes!" This wasn't a mindless romp in the sack for either Jamie or Andi and I really liked that. I felt like I was watching a sexy, extremely sweet and slightly raunchy *grin* love affair develop and I can't wait to read more from Shiloh Walker.

Good Quick Read, December 14, 2007
This review is from: Coming in Last (Paperback)
From the back of the book........."Jamie McAdams expected it to be an open and shut case of embezzlement. The finger seemed to be pointed right at Andi Morrow, the quiet young lady who ran the daycare center at his godfather's plant. Of course, she didn't exactly have access to the cash, but she did live seriously outside her means.
Andi smelled like vanilla, tasted like sex, and moved like sin. It only took a few days for Jamie to realize he was hooked, and she was being framed. But maybe he should have told her that, before they used her as bait to catch the real embezzler.
Jamie always gets his man, even if it means coming in last with the woman he's fallen in love with."
Jamie and Andi have good chemistry, and this was an enjoyable story taking place in a corporate environment.
