4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant melodic bm/dm from Germany, February 15, 2009
This review is from: Coming Storm (Audio CD)
This band is quite a rarity in today's metal scene, but with a little snooping around you can find a gem like this one. Fantastic riffs and beautiful piano/synth harmonies. The name of the band in some terms is a little generic, and same goes with the lyrics, but the craftsmanship of the songs are quite lush. If you have a craving for melodious and nihilistic metal, this one is for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars cryptic wintermoon is not a joke band! they rock!, November 1, 2004

A friend of mine sent me this album, and I thought it was a joke. "Cryptic Wintermoon"? How cliche and stupid is that? Turns out, it's a really good album. It's very diverse, halfway through the cd it turns from symphonic death metal more toward a goth-metal feel. Don't get me wrong--the second half of the cd rocks as well. One track to definately check out would be "Supersatan". You'll never get it out of your head. This is a really well done, really catchy album. Good ol' death metal.
