This review is from: Coming Together: At Last (v2) (Paperback)
COMING TOGETHER AT LAST is a collection of interracial, erotic short stories written by various authors. The synopsis points out that all proceeds from COMING TOGETHER AT LAST-Volumes 1 &2 benefit Amnesty International in the hope to promote human rights.
In one story, a daughter is in danger in Africa. Her family hires someone to go in search of her to bring her back to the United States. Somewhere along the line the two fall in love. In another story, a widowed, black woman is in need of some loving and she picks an older white gentleman who is also a widower, that frequents the place she works at. The two of them find they may have more in common than they realized. In another story a lesbian, who likes to be dominated, finds love in the most unlikeliest of people, a younger white woman that has never been with a woman. Each story is about an interracial couple that explores sexual exploits and somewhere in the midst of it all finds love. COMING TOGETHER AT LAST was a decent enough collaboration of short stories. Although at some points, it reminded me of a low-budget porn movie. The stories really lacked substance and consisted mainly of sexual encounters that I personally did not find very erotic. If you do not mind reading a bunch of sex-filled pages than you may very well enjoy this collaboration of short stories. The book was provided by the publisher for review purposes.
