A Great Album,

This is a GREAT album. It's a shame that it had to come together in part due to the untimely passing of what appeared to be a quite promising jazz talent, Brendan Romaneck. If this album is a testimony to his musical and songwriting ability, the world truly lost a great talent. While there are three songs on the album Mr. Romaneck did not write, those that he did are soulful hard-bop inspired tunes that reminds one of Hank Mobley and Lee Morgan during the 60s on Blue Note. However, this music isn't derivative nor is it a clone. It is original, engaging, and burns. The musicians that play on this album seemed to have been inspired. There are some sax solos turned in by Potter and Wilson that leave blisters on the ears. It's tragic that Mr. Romaneck was taken from us so soon -- he would have done great things in the world of jazz.

I knew Brendan personally. He was a terrific person and it shows in his music. Truly outstanding.
