Older version still relevant,
By Terry Pile "Career Advisors" (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Coming Alive from Nine to Five : The Career Search Handbook (Paperback)
I have the older version of this book and find the content and exercises are still relevant although the market research and websites may be a bit dated. However, the newer version is a bit pricey, so if you are on a tight budget but want a good career search handbook, I would opt for an older edition. This is also a good resource for career counseling professionals to have in their libraries because it offers group discussion questions along with self-assessment exercises. The cartoons break-up the copy and there are a lot of exercises to help you identify your job satisfiers and workplace cultures that are a good fit. It also offers advice on job search tools such as cover letters and resumes, however for this chapter I would want to consult the most recent resources around.
