5.0 out of 5 stars I Love 3M Stuff...
There's no better stuff for shower caddies, soap dishes. As long as you
take the time to clean surface with alcohol and let dry these work great.

2.0 out of 5 stars HOOKS GREAT/STRIPS BAD
I have used command hooks ever since my daughter introduced me to them when she went to college. I purchased the towel hooks at Walmart and have used them for several years. I have used Command strips many times and had the shower caddy in my bathroom for 3 years - it was always full and never moved. We recently moved to a new place and I ordered the water-resistant strips so I could rehang the caddy. Unfortunately, I discovered the strips do not adhere to textured tiles. I tried twice, waiting 48 hours before using it the second time but still no luck. I am very disappointed but this is still a great product and I will continue to use them in other areas.

5.0 out of 5 stars These things are great!, March 17, 2010
This review is from: Command 17605B Large Water-Resistant Refill Strips, 4 Strips (Tools & Home Improvement)
I've had my command shower caddy for years- I love it, and it comes with me every time I move. The water resistant strips are great for hanging not only the Command caddies and hooks, but for almost any other flat-surfaced item! I've had several shower-corner shelves held up with these, even though the shelves weren't Command brand.

I've had my caddy up for 2 years on one set of these strips- loaded with full bottles of bath products, and never had the thing fall or even slip a little!!

I needed some mounting strips to put some cable covers on the wall that hide cables from my plasma TV to the satellite box, blu-ray, etc. I repainted the living room and all of a sudden the regular 3M strips I had would no longer hold -- the cable covers would fall after after less than 72 hours (there were mounted for a couple months prior to this w/o difficulty).

I talked with 3M and they told me that the regular strips often do not work on newer paints for some reason and suggested that I use these water resistant strips instead. sent me free samples of the smaller versions.

They worked better but some of the covers still wouldn't hold; then I realized there were large strips available at Amazon so I purchased those and they are working like a charm. These are holding up the cable covers w/o any difficulty or signs of coming loose. It worked so well I even am using a few to hang up a small framed painting in the same room that was not in a location I could use nails/screws.

I highly recommend them -- they're not just for in the bathroom!

Bought these for the shower caddy that I purchased. They are constantly getting soaked and still have not weakened after 3 months. My shower caddy is as stable as ever. I've never had a problem with it falling off the wall. Love it.

2.0 out of 5 stars HOOKS GREAT/STRIPS BAD, September 10, 2011

I have used command hooks ever since my daughter introduced me to them when she went to college. I purchased the towel hooks at Walmart and have used them for several years. I could not find extra ones to use in another bathroom until I found them on Amazon. I received my hooks and went to install them. The adhesive strip would not peel off on one side. It attached to the wall but we could not get the other side to peel off. Very frustrating. We went to Wamart and bought the regular strips and they worked great.Command 17600B Bathroom Hook, Water-Resistant Strips, 1 Hook 2 Strips

Purchasing these allows me to move my bath storage items from Command when i desire or as my needs change. Well worth the purchase to have backup strips. I could not find it in any store and was so glad to have found it here.

1.0 out of 5 stars Plain bad, May 24, 2011

This review is from: Command 17605B Large Water-Resistant Refill Strips, 4 Strips (Tools & Home Improvement)
I love 3M command strips but this strip is plain bad.

I wanted to put a caddy in my shower area so I thought this would be best option because I have used 3M water resistant hook and it worked great.

I put caddy and leave it for 2 days before putting anything in that caddy. After I put 2 brush with 2 tubes (roughly 500gm total weight), caddy came down after 3 hrs. Note that I used 4 large strips instead of 1 or 2 which I was thinking earlier. If 4 large strips can't handle weight of caddy and some stuff, i am really sorry.

According to me, water drops in shower area might have affected these strips holding power but saying water resistant from 3M does not do justice. FALSE ADVERTISING I say.
