5.0 out of 5 stars Love this Game
I personally don't like very complex games I love this game for long time no matter what super techies say abut this game I love it. It is simple and entertaining.

2.0 out of 5 stars Skip this game, way too many other good ones
Incredible on how "professionals" have not only given this game a pass, but recommend it!!

You have to be masochist, drugged induced, mentally ill or at the least in nostalgic denial about this C&C game to say it doesn't suck. Need to emphasize the total lack of plot, super weapons, or at least the campy videos that at least made the red alert ones charming...

4.0 out of 5 stars Great expansion pack for a good game., December 31, 2011
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour (CD-ROM)
Generals was pretty good, but this game fills in a lot of the holes. Unfortunately, what keeps it from getting a perfect score is that it opens a few new ones.

The game adds 3 sub-factions to each major faction, generals that are styled towards a certain concept. Each general gains access to special units or powers, and loses access to other units from their faction. However, the specialization usually leaves you with pretty much one way to play, and in multiplayer games, this can be fatal if you wind up with a bad match-up.

The story picks up where Generals left off and ties up nicely, but the ending of the overall story is a bit of a stretch - normal for C&C games, but bizarre for the semi-realistic setting of the Generals universe.

The graphics have changed only slightly, having become more smooth and the environments more detailed.

The between-mission cutscenes are interesting and really add to the story, but if you buy this game in the First Decade bundle, you don't get to see them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great expansion to a Great Classic, September 7, 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour (CD-ROM)
A great expansion to an unbelievable classic. It requires that you have the original Command & Conquer Generals installed in order to install this expansion. This expansion includes 3 brand new unique campaigns to the game. It also introduces an astonishing 3 sub-factions to each regular faction, so it adds 9 total new factions you can pick, and that's not including the slightly improved original factions which include the USA, GLA, and China.

Of all the RTS's from EA and Westwood , Zero Hour has the most re-play value. There are 3 factions ,US , China , and the GLA ;each with their own campaigns on 3 different levels of play. Now for the replay ,each faction has 3 specialized Generals which you can pit against each other on 3 different levels.Example, the US has a Super weapons general , Air force general an a Laser general . China has a Nuclear , a Tank , an a Infantry general. The GLA has a Toxin , a Camo an a Demo general. The game also has over 45 skirmish maps with 3levels each .When you complete each level you receive a medal either a Bronze ,Sliver ,Gold . You receive one for the most tanks an air crafts create in a single campaign .All in all this Game is worth getting. Word of warning: If your system is higher than XP down load the patch to run it from EA or buy the Command & Conquer ,The first decade. This also has patches.

Need to emphasize the total lack of plot, super weapons, or at least the campy videos that at least made the red alert ones charming. Menu as usual takes up too much screen space & I was frustrated because i got bogged down having to click build new units because of the 9 unit limit per building (not young or as patient). n a 2003 game it's ludicrous!! On top of all the negatives the freaking AI blatantly cheats. Need to download the demo for C&C 4 and hope for better days, thank GOD i borrowed this and DIDN'T actually spend any money on it.
