5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Game. Runs Great On My MacBook Pro, April 23, 2009

This game is really fun. Especially when you play it with friends. The campaign is entertaining as well, although sometimes I wish the story was a bit more serious. I give this game five stars both for being really fun to play and it runs great on my 1 1/2 year old MacBook Pro. Finally some great games on a Mac! If you like C&C or RTS games, you won't regret buying this game.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, March 31, 2010

= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 (DVD-ROM)
As much as I love the Command & Conquer series, this one is a letdown. I think EA has become lazy or just isn't worrying much about Command & Conquer anymore. The C&C Generals was much better, but with the only negative being that they had taken out the ships from the weapons you could build. This time they brought it back, but limited some other areas. In Skirmish mode, you now have only 3 different factions. I'm pretty sure there were much more in Generals. Plus the fact that you can only have three different teams, instead of 4, and maps with the maximum of 6 players, instead of 8.
To make things worse, even if you play with a large screen resolution, some of the buildings are too tall, making your battle space cluttered up to a point that sometimes you can't find a smaller one, like the barracks.
To summarize, it just seems that EA doesn't care anymore.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fun game, bad system requirements, April 24, 2009

I like Civ 3 and other games like Red Alert but the system requirements were very high to have any high quality video or graphics. I have an Apple Imac with a 2.4 Ghz Intel chip and still the I had to set the second lowest option for graphics. I had high hopes for this game because there are not many good Mac games available. I thank Amazon.com because they refunded me when I returned the game and credited me for the full amount.

My suggestion is if you are looking to buy this game, purchase it for PC which I believe is marked down now or there is a special edition available on PS3 which looks sweet. It has added bonus features in the PS3 version. Try the demo and see if its your cup of tea.
