An obviously well researched historical novel about the early naval career of John Paul Jones. Discusses in context ship on which he served, and officers with whom he served. This nicely supplements (along with that of other authors) a scant historical record about naval operations during the Revolutionary war, which tend to focus on major battles and John Paul Jones. I intend to read more of this series.

It is a good book but is very short. I am not a fast reader and I was done with this in no time. Must read the first book.

Like in the "book" Engage the Enemy" this also was more of a chapter in a book than an actual book.
Good reading but disappointingly short.

Short on ddtail, plot, editing, character development and historical placement. More high school term paper than novel. Waste of time and purchase .

An interesting chapter of our naval history. As a child I was taken to John Paul's grave and told many stories of his exploits. Mr. Kenworthy is definitely the better story teller.
