4.0 out of 5 stars Book 4?
I have to say that I have really enjoyed all 3 books. The use and idea of magic is well thought out and the main plot is quite interesting. A few sub plots are a little questionable though. However, i don't recommend anyone purchase any of these books until David Forbes completes the series, way too many questions left unanswered. It's also very frustrating considering...

3.0 out of 5 stars An interesting anomaly
How strange that the author is responding to a negative review that seems to have been erased... Exactly how helpful can these be when it's quite obvious the reviews are being screened. Don't get me wrong, the books were good, but please stop the censorship.

Of all three books this was the best. There was much to read "between the lines" and behind each character. I hope that book 4 is in the works as so many questions were left unanswered.

It was interesting to watch Gerin change in attitude and grow in strength during each of the books. His brother's talent in regards to animals also provides a basis for a great story (hopefully in book 4).

Sorry you didn't get more enjoyment out of the book, Peter. I'm not going to nitpick your review or argue with you. Obviously my writing isn't working for you, but thanks for sticking with me through three books. -- David Forbes
