This is a great package for those who want to learn the basics of establishing a team. The brief paperback gives you the basics in direct style. The CD provides the emotion to make you excited about pursuing these ideas. Ian Percy is one of our greatest speakers. If you haven't heard him, this CD is a perfect opportunity to enjoy learning from his great teachings.

What are the 11 commandments? Here they are:

1. Help other people get it right -- If you've read The One Minute Manager, you'll remember this as the idea of catching someone doing something right and praising them.

2. Help turn new ideas into successes, rather than shooting them down. New ideas are fledglings that need nurturing. They are easy to kill . . . and hard to raise into full-fledged successes.

3. Avoid negative assumptions about each other. If in doubt, check it out.

4. Help each other win as a team and take pride in each other's successes.

5. Express positive thoughts about your team whenever you have a chance.

6. No matter what happens, stay positive in your thoughts, words and actions.

7. Act with as much courage and initiative as though everything depends on your personal effort.

8. Act with enthusiasm -- it's contagious!

9. Whatever you lack, give it away. This goes against the grain. You feel needy . . . and the first step to having more is to give away part of what you feel needy about. If you need money, give some away, for instance.

10. Keep the faith . . . never give up!

11. Have fun!!!

The text explains these comments in terms of a team. The CD talks in terms of motivational terms to a group of people who seem to be involved in sales.

The CD talk is based on an analogy to sharing a toothpaste tube in a positive way. You'll never brush your teeth with the same thoughts after listening to Mr. Percy.

Incredible! The best I've read about creating team. Everyone who networks, collaborates, builds community, etc., should have this book and CD combo. Truly a masterpiece!
