5.0 out of 5 stars Very good resource, December 25, 1999
By
This review is from: 10 Commandments of Small-Business Success (Paperback)
If you've got a small business--particularly if you are just starting out--this book will be very helpful. It's a very good resource, I'd recommend it along with Jay Conrad Levinson's Guerrilla Marketing and the book on yellow pages advertising by Barry Maher (if you, like most of us have to advertise in the phone book). I'd also consider Denny Hatch's book on direct marketing, if that's a part of your business.

This review is from: 10 Commandments of Small-Business Success (Paperback)
The book was to the point and direct about the survival of small business. These are great tips and ideas to have in the back of your mind when coming together to build your own business. The author seemed to have a grasp on what really makes and breaks businesses and from there I was able to make my own conclusions.

5.0 out of 5 stars A comprehensive foundation for business/personal success!, May 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: 10 Commandments of Small-Business Success (Paperback)
This book is motivating, entertaining and most of all, educational. Marguerite has taken a complex subject matter; one in which a layperson can become lost in terminology, and has managed to divide its components into a format understandable to even a budding entrepreneur. Marguerite has shared not only her vast business and legal expertise but has also personalized this book with her own wisdom of life. She has stressed the importance of balancing career with other priority issues including family, leisure and healthy lifestyle choices. This is a must read book which provides a comprehensive prescription for both personal `and entrepreneural success.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent book for those who look for a guaranteed succes, May 6, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: 10 Commandments of Small-Business Success (Paperback)
This book does not need a thousand words to tell the story. It is as right as rain and follows the intended course for the work of mankind. To love what you know and know what you love is a marriage of being and doing. Our Gifts are to be given in abundance as we are showered every minute if we have eyes to see and ears to hear. Don't put your Light under a bushel. Harnessing one's powers for success, knowing that we make choices and that those choices must be flexible, we are holding the reigns for success one way or the other. Understanding what it is we love to do and knowing the best way to operate according to our style we learn how to cut here and add there and keep the flow of exchange open. Plan your needs and they will be digested into action. Be alert to your territory- when in Rome, do as the Romans do, Pay your due amount to the culture you live in, You will have no one dogging your footsteps. When you think things are going along very well, consider the terrain. The farther down the road you go the more you are apt to find changes so recognize in your creativity the different variables. This book is full of warning signs to help keep you on the right path to your natural intuition. Kirk gives an excellent view of money and its influence on all of us. A healthy and positive grasp of the money power is a hurdle well worth your attention. Listening to one's own inner voice, and having faith in your self gives way to decisions that are solid and directive. As in any work that one can do it is always a right move to be in contact with those of like mind. Those who are in the work for many years are fellow workers who can offer assistance and guidance when counsel is needed. The last chapter in the book is balm to the soul. All so called mistakes, disasters, or crashes are fully taken care of with positive encouraging, and directive outcomes. This book is a many faceted jewel that not only is a giant of a do it yourself book but one that could be used in the daily life of every person who desires to be a loving adult.
