You will interact like never before with the environment: stealing enemy uniforms and weapons, climbing poles, swinging from cables, swimming, using vehicles, and climbing in and out of buildings, ships, and planes. You will control nine commandos, including a green beret, sniper, demolitions expert, seductress, thief, and even a dog. The game features an all-new 3-D engine, allowing you to rotate the environment 360 degrees, zoom in and out when viewing the environment, and move seamlessly in and out of buildings, submarines, planes, and water. The innovative camera control allows simultaneous control of multiple gameplay windows in real time. Commandos 2: Men of Courage includes 10 missions spanning nine different night and day environments with realistic weather effects. Go to war with others in a cooperative multiplayer mode, and use new WWII vehicles and weapons such as jeeps, tanks, trucks, ships, bazookas, and flamethrowers.

Perhaps the worse realization of a good idea,

I thought this game had significant potential and I was really looking forward to playing a war simulation. Well, all the fun stopped when I tried the controls for this game. The programers must've been sitting in an unvented area with lots of beans and bourbon to come up with the control scheme. To make a simple move requires tons of button presses that are counter-intuitive and numerous. The characters are diverse, a bit too diverse. I wouldn't be surprized if there's a specialist in tying shoes in this game. The visuals didn't detract much from the gameplay but the gameplay itself is pretty bad. Solving missions require completely off-the wall moves like socking someone, running out of the room, and coming back in. I guess when you come back in, the guard forgets to report intruders. Overall, a great idea with horribly poor implementation.

Great Strategy Game,

I have all three games in the commandos series for the computer and have been excitied that they are finally coming to the xbox. The focuses on straetgy and tatics. If you just go intoa level with your guns blaring you are going to die. You should buy this game if like military strategy and tactic games that are challenging, yet fun.
