Finally, Edios brings greatness back to the Commandos label - it is too bad they waited so long because most people didn't give this game a try. Not the very best WWII first person shooter (Call of Duty) but very good and different in important ways. First, it is not (mostly) about running through the fray and killing, it is about stealth and guile. You get to see a first person shooter from an angle not widely explored, literaly behind enemy lines (as the spy). Watch German soldiers doing PT, getting drunk, dressed down, and visiting with local females (french). Although Amazon lists it as an E rating, it is actually rated T, and probalby should be rated M. Cussing, bloddy violence and sexual themes are common and add to the "real" feel of the game.

Wow! What a fantastic game on virtually every level. I wish it would never end! And from Eidos no less, the company that hires a 2 buck an hour guy to design the controls on their other games like Lara Croft and Hitman; two glorious jewel games destroyed by one ahole! This time, Eidos put it all together, a great game with fps lunacy, stealth and thought which is required to beat this game along with great simple controls to boot. Congrats Eidos on finally a brilliant job well done! Keep the new control guy employed and send the ahole packing!

WWII; what male on God's made earth does not like games pertaining to this time era?? classic stuff, like Medal of Honor and Battlefield 1942 is what this game is a blend of: a run and gun shooter with different classes to take out your objectives. Though Battlefield 1942 was by far way better (except for on story), it still has a Medal of Honor feel where everyone is still running and gunning, making the momentum of the game all the better. only problem is that most of the time its hard to realize what exactly your allowed to do. for example, I walked passed three guys undetected that were only 20 feet away just because I was crouched, and they were in a circle, barely talking. Grant it, it blends quite a good action field, where your allowed to switch between 3 heroes instantaneously, and fight from all three of their fronts. So you have your sniper, your run 'n gun, and spy. What I don't like is how much art work they did to close up the screen, and to hide how small the world is, which is why I love battlefield a whole lot more.
Okay looking graphics, seems like entire look is PS2 or Xbox, but the faces look really detailed for some reason, at least on the french men. Story, though I haven't hopped through it all, is already starting to look interesting, but when its just about three guys who blow, shoot and assassinate things and people together, what could be possibly that special. I also hated having so much HUD on and around my face: it was really annoying.
