A good follow up to Quelqu'un M'a Dit,

I remember when I first heard that Carla Bruni had added musician to her multi-hyphenate status (which includes model). Only at the insistence of French classmates did I buy the Quelqu'un M'a Dit album, and was pleasantly surprised. The acoustic, low-key album was well put together and good music for a laid-back occasion.
Comme Si De Rien N'etait does not disappoint in this regard. Bruni has not deviated a lot overall from her previous work, and the music suits her style, voice and lyrics. If you're looking for some cafe-type, easy-on-the-ears music, this would be a good choice. I also like it for waking up to in the morning. |
