Okay, I don't get along with most females on this planet, but Julie... I have a feeling I would get along with her, because she is a girl after my own heart. I actually saw her perform on stage. She has such strong presence. She is poised and confident. At the same time, there is not a trace of arrogance in her. Pure talent, pure composure.

This CD is not my favorite one, but I still gave it solid 4 stars. The music is a bit monotonous. I would have liked to see more of a variety, like on her first album. Most tracks here are too mellow. They do not allow her to show the full range of her voice. I would have liked to see more fast, aggressive pieces.

A few weeks ago, I went to Paris to do some shopping and to catch up with some friends of mine. I decided to stop in the Tower Records on the Champs-Elysees to pick up some albums. Julie Zenatti's was one of the selections playing in the listening center, so I decided to try it. What can I say! I WAS BLOWN AWAY!! She has an incredibly strong voice that gives me the chills everytime I listen to her sing. You do not need to understand the french language to feel her passion. I do understand french, but even without the understanding, the music and her voice are incredible.

I like French music and I like female singers. I had listened to some of the songs on this album and liked them well enough to buy it. Now, after listening to it several times, I am not impressed. The music is fine. But there is nothing special about it. It's the kind of pop you find everywhere: turn on the radio and you won't hear the difference from the CD. The lyrics are OK but not great either. Overall, it's solid French pop but not the kind of CDs I'll recommend to my friends, unless they are Zenatti fans.
