I am a big fan of the Ancient Christian Commentary Series, and this work continues the work of excellence. I have been waiting for an English translation of Ambrosiaster to happen, and now it has! The way this commentary is layed out is very simple and easy to use with all the verses separated nicely, not crammed up like a lot of commentaries. As for Ambrosiaster himself, he is an ancient commentator that I place in the top 10 of my favorites among the Church Fathers, maybe the top 5. He does not get long winded and he gives a good literal interpretation of the Biblical texts. I could not recommend this one enough! I can't wait till the next volumes of the Ancient Christian Text comes out!
