4.0 out of 5 stars INDEX; Not commentary, February 3, 2011

Alfredo Watkins "Fredo" (San Bernardino, Ca, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Commentary on Aristotle's Metaphysics: A Most Ample Index to the Metaphysics of Aristotle (Index Locupletissimus in Metaphysicam Aristotelis) (Paperback)
Just a quick note for the person who is considering buying this. This is not a full-on commentary on Aristotle's Metaphysics in the same way as Aquinas' is. Suarez goes through each section asking a few questions and then referring the reader back to relevant sections of his Metaphysical Disputations. There is very little in the way of actual commentary. This is more of a study guide than anything. I wouldn't recommend this if you don't have access or the ability to read Suarez's Disputations, the full text of which can only be found in Latin. Just keep that in mind when considering purchasing.
