CDL Interactive Program
I found this program extremely helpful to use in its test mode function (there is a study mode option as well). By clicking on my state (Rhode Island), I was able to gauge my knowledge of the CDL Manual and to see if I was prepared to take the written test. Good but not worth it!
The concept of having a test on an interactive CD is a great one since most people have computers these days. However, since CD's are cheap to make, charging 50+ dollars for this is not worth it. There are only 30 or so questions and the first time I took the test I got all but 2 right. That took less than 3 minutes! For 50 bucks you could buy several books on the...

I found this program extremely helpful to use in its test mode function (there is a study mode option as well).
By clicking on my state (Rhode Island), I was able to gauge my knowledge of the CDL Manual and to see if I was prepared to take the written test. Each question had a different graphic (and sound) so it made the whole studing experience a breeze. The virtual printer at the end of the exam printing your score was really cool!!! Highly Recommended and an inexpensive investment compared to what is taught in CDL schools!

I do admit however, that the disk was very "to the point" so it does eliminate all of the "page turning" for books.

Old but very helpful and valid materials.
So much information gathered in one place; all endorsements are included. This application is much better than any book. Developers came with a great idea to create hundreds of problems for which they offer different solutions. You do not have to read and read and read again; it is much simpler. Just read the question and few available answers. The right answer has the explanation. So, you see the problem and the best solution for it. If you select the exam mode, you just go through tests and get your result at the end. I got my license in few weeks, having also some fun studying for this. This method worked for me.

I am not impressed at all. I thought there would be more educational tools in the CD than a book.
If you just wants questions in the computer format, this is for you. but if you expect more than that, don't buy it. |
