These are terrific, sturdy swing set seats. If you are reading this review, you are probably a DIY'er like me and have decided to build it once and build it right. These heavy duty seats are for you then. I'm 250 lbs, and these seats yield absolutely no give whatsoever even at full-height swinging (you know, where the chains go a little limp then jerk hard on the way down?) Ahh, the joys of testing before the kids get to play.
Something worth mentioning is the thickness of the metal connection bars on the seats. They are made of a very thick steel aloy or aluminum; I'd say 3/8ths of an inch if not more. The only trouble with metal of that thickness is that it will require very large quick link hardware in order to pass the seat bar through the quick link opening. If you do find quick links large enough to pass the seat through, that same hardware must then pass through the holes of your swing chain for the final connection. Choose your hardware and chain size accordingly. I used 3/16th chain, which is pretty much the same heavy-duty stuff you will find at a commercial park. Only the larger quick link hardware would accept the seats, but then it was too large itself to pass through the chain holes. I tried varying sizes, all which had either an opening too small for seat, or had a thickness too large for the chain holes. I ended up using large connector clips instead of quick links. Connector clips are similar to carabiners, and are larger with a lower load bearing limit than quick links. However, the larger ones work well for a swing set application, and are still rated well over the range of anything that will sit on these seats.
Also notable is the metal on these seats. It has some sort of galvanized coating or weatherproof paint. It's not very thick, but hasn't rusted yet. It's been a few months now, but I live in Louisiana and it stays pretty wet down here. The colors have faded just slightly. We bought a red, yellow and blue seat. Suprisingly, the blue seems to have faded the least. I've been very impressed with them so far though. Good seats like this, stainless steel connector clips, and galvanized chain. That's my best advice for a built-to-last setup.

I agree with the other reviewer that the metal connection is a bit thick for most quick links to connect to the chain. What I needed to do was actually bend the quick link to make the seat connection fit. If you are not willing to do that, just a little bigger quick link for a few more dollars. Seat is super sturdy and I am very satisfied with the purchase. One recommendation is to measure you length of the chain carefully since the seat bends in the middle when you sit down and you end up sitting much lower that you would expect.
