Taking a chance, I bought "The Commitments Deluxe Edition" without knowing if the music has been remastered or not. I was thankful to discover that it had been and all the tracks really sound great, including some decent ones from Andrew Strong's solo album. If you still have your old editions from the 90's, feel safe to get rid of them and upgrade to this version. The better sound makes this purchase worth it.

This is an amazing sound track, and this 2-disc set is a real treat. It is great to get both CD's (the original release - 1992, follow up album - 1993) in one set. I definitely recommend this product if you are a fan or enjoy good ol' Motown music. =)

Watched the movie again. Enjoyed the music - again! Several Commitments' CDs are available - by the original artists, by the original movie cast, extended versions, etc. Purchased this extended version by the original movie cast. GREAT!!! Highly recommend purchasing. You won't be disappointed.

This is a must have CD if you like soul music. I ordered the DVD and enjoyed watching it and the music was excellent, so I felt obligated to purchase the CD. It is absolutley terrific!

this is a great soundtrack it is fun and enjoyable to listen to. The Best Songs on this album are all of them

My wife and I first bought the DVD video "The Commitments" and really liked it in spite of the language. We had hoped the band would have managed somehow to stay together without all of the in-fighting, as they were quite good as musicians, singers, and entertainers. We decided to order the CD that includes two discs of their soul music and we are happy we did. The music is great.
