The First CD I've Been Excited About in a LONG Time!, December 16, 2003

"Committed" is my first exposure to the incredibly cool sound of Pressure Cooker and it's an awesome blend of ska, reggae, and rock-steady sound that blends smooth vocals with rich harmonies, suave brass, pianos and organs and a creeping bassline. This band strikes me as one of the most under-appreciated finds out there. I used to love the kick-butt tunes of Madness, The English Beat, The Jam, and even the Style Council. Pressure Cooker has that feel and then brings even more to the table. If you've been looking for a warm mix of the best attributes of several musical styles - this is the CD for you. It's feel great music for the masses and it's about time they broke out big-style. Do yourself and your CD player a favor and pick this CD up. It will NOT disappoint. My faves on this album: "Cookin' In The Kitchen," "Divided Mind," and "NKA." Here's to many more successes for this incredible band!
