This review is from: Commodore 64: 30 in 1 Classic Games Plug and Play Joystick (Video Game)
The Commodore 64 Plug in Play is an extremely enjoyable product that is great for both younger kids just getting into video games or adults that remember playing games on their Commodore 64 computer systems. Containing 30 games (Technically over 40 if you count all the games included in the Summer and Winter Games), the system is packed to the brim with some interesting titles lost over the years. To set-up, all you have to do is pop in 4 AA batteries, plug the yellow and white cables into the TV, and you are done. No outlet or assembly required.
The quality of the product is also very nice compared to some of the flimsy and cheap plug in play systems I have used. The system is not too small for bigger hands yet at the same time not too larger for younger players. The joystick has a nice and feel and has a great weight to it so it never feels like you are holding a cheap piece of plastic.
While some games you will play for a few minutes and move on, most are still enjoyable even after all these years. Plus, many of the games feature multi-player play that only requires one joystick, which is an added bonus if you have some friends or family members to play with.
As a package, it is most certainly a great buy, with the only problem being the price. $30 seems to be a bit pricey even considering there are 30 games on here. Honestly, I paid $1.50 at a local toy store clearance sale for this very product.
So while the price is a bit high, I would still recommend it seeing as the entertainment value contained inside this little device is fantastic.
Game List: Impossible Mission, Impossible Mission 2, Jumpman Junior, Cyderdyne Warrior, Cybernoid, Cybernoid 2, Paradroid, Pitstop, Pitstop 2, Gateway to Apshai, Tower Toppler, Uridum, Eliminator, Surfing, Exolon, Firelord, Flying Disk, Summer Games, Super CYcle, Silicon Warrior, Ranarama, Winter Games, Speedball, Zynaps, World Karate Champion A, World Kaate Champion B, Bull Riding, Sumo Wrestling, Championship Wrestling, and Sword of Fargoal.
