Amazing Local St. Louis Jazz, May 3, 2004

Last memorial day, my mother and I - I was a high school junior -went to St. Louis for a long weekend. I wanted to experience some real St. Louis jazz and blues, and, lucky enough, there was a jazz festival put on by a local jazz radio station. The first group I heard was Commonwealth - and they were awesome, performing works from Stevie Wonder to self-written songs. I didn't buy a CD immediately; it was early and I wanted to check out the other groups. In the end we walked back to the stage where Commonwealth had performed, but they were gone and I couldn't find any of their CD's. I finally asked at the 106.5 Smooth Jazz radio booth, and a guy brought me back to their van and gave me a Commonwealth CD from a box they had purchased to use as promotional items. From the first time I listened all the way through, it has been my favorite CD. I am very anxious for them to release a second CD, which I believe is in the works.
This CD would be great for anybody, whether you are a jazz fan or not. It is amazing!!!
