...That's when you pick up Communicate or Die. This was a fun read and a work of undeniable scholarship. Brilliant insights and entertaining anecdotes. Ties it all together. Highly recommneded.

Outstanding reading and fed an action plan presently being undertaken by two companies and its key personel.
So many factors were brought to the surface simply from reading this remarkable book. Was hard to believe that a book got us in order and centred us on smarter thinking and relationship building. Cheap investment I say.

I have read this book a few times over the years and always been empowered to communicate more effectively when I read it again. In the last months I have been studying the book's material, like my life depended on it as the title indicates. I read for 20 minutes each day, highlight sections and writing observations into my journal. It is one of the best books on communication I have read and studied and as I take on a new and bigger challenge, my daily study is an imperative.

The book puts me into an environment where I am conscious of my speaking and how I listen to people, of effectiveness and forward motion. To share Communicate or Die's wisdom and tools with my associates and clients, I have ordered a special edition of 750 copies with our own brand on the cover. It is to be my gift to herald in a new and prosperous 2007. I consider it a small and high-leveraged investment in the leadership of my volunteers and colleagues and essential for the task that we have taken on in the world - the end of rape on earth.

I am firmly of the belief that communication is as much art as science and that its mastery is a life-long endeavor. "Communicate or Die" presents principles and distinctions that are pivotal to producing results - and building relationship - through speaking and listening. It packs a lot of power into a short space. This book is eminently readable and thoroughly useful. I recommend it highly.

There are very few self-help books that I am at all interested in. Communicate or Die, as I quickly realised, is not a self help book, but a book that makes you want to help yourself through it's practicle association with today's business and negotions. This is definitely a must read for anyone that is interested in beaing a leader, and more importantly, a good leader who is foremost a good listener and communicator. I did not put this book down until I was done and I think that many who begin to read it will experience the same thrill. Enjoy.

This book was very useful for me as I didn't know some details and tips I can use in my day to day life activities for both professional and personal aspects.

The way we communicate would be the difference between success or failure as a leader. Misunderstandings, gossips and ignoring issues may cause a lot of difficulties for you as a leader and this book shows us how to deal with them.

I personally knew Thomas in Switzerland and he helped me to improve my leadership skills with this book and Culture Clash.

It was during my first year of business school, three years ago, that I had the pleasure to meet Thomas; I had read his book a few weeks prior so as to be ready for his arrival and presentation. What impressed me most about his book (Thomas embodied this in person) is that Communication is not difficult. It is however a skill, a skill that must taught and learned and developed. Communicate or Die reminded me that now, especially now, we must go out of our way to communicate with people in lasting ways. Dialogue comes about through speaking and listening, not by one or the other. I would recommend this book to anyone who believes that good communicators are a dying bunch and doesn't want to settle for misinterpretations and virtual blah sessions. We can be good at communicating once again; we just need to realize how vital it is to our Global future, economy, and us as people.

Dr. Zweifel's simple and direct description of communication, listening and speaking makes his teachings easy and exciting to put into action.

The book has already helped me understand the kinds of communication that are going on, and it's been an effective guide for how to best participate, lead and get results. I can now watch the tenor, pace and subject matter of conversations so clearly, it has become a pure joy, and I see myself getting the results I want out of my communications.

I've already put these teachings into practice and find myself well equipped to take stock of even very difficult situations. If I can't solve the issues, then at least I can help create an opening for positive, constructive talk.

I will keep this book and its ideas close to me for the long haul.

If you have to work with people who speak a different language, then this book is a treasure. It is an easy book to read, and the way it teaches is inspiring. I could not have done all the difficult jobs I did working with an international team if I had not read this. Highly recommended.
