Grade A Bonafide Blue-Eyed Soul,

Scott Morgan and Nicky Royale have combined their efforts along with some assistance from freinds to create a stirring tribute to the long, great tradition of Rhythmn and Blues. The two songwriters have always had an affinity for high energy rock and roll in the tradition of the legendary MC5, Stooges, Sonic's Rendezvous Band, Mitch Ryder and Grand Funk Railroad. However, Morgan and Royale (aka Nicke Andersson) have a clear understanding that at the core of those aforementioned rock pioneers was an influence of Coletrane, Blues and Motown / Memphis. It clearly shows that they are indebted to as well as love the music of the era. The songs presented here are demonstrate the great thing of music in general - the inter-connectedness of the language of music. Andersson's songwriting has shown a tremendous growth from his early days of the Hellacopters as he has absorbed the influence of American R & B. Morgan's voice has a style and presence that at some points resembles Van Morrison. It's no wonder this album was a success in Sweden because it's too good to pass up. Highly recommended!!!

I had never heard of this band or any other band these people are from, BUT...From the opening cymbal crash and invitation to "Start Your Engines" this album ROCKS. Sounds like it could have been recorded by Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels 40 YEARS AGO!! I'm a professional DJ and I hear all kinds of music, Good & Bad, Believe me when I tell you, THIS IS GOOD MUSIC!!!!! IN MY TOP 5 DISCS OF ALL-TIME!!!
