I have had the opportunity to read and use the AV7 translation of the Holy Bible. I really enjoy the select Old Testament passages. While reading through the New Testament, select passages are boxed out of the chapter. This boxing creates an interest in the passage making one think more about the passage that has just been read. When I first read through chapters of the New Testament I gathered the stories and parables that are frequently talked about. With the boxing of the passages I take a deeper look into what is being said. The main goal of the AV7 translation is to make the translation as close to the original text. Words or phrases have been removed in some other translations making the passage mean something else entirely than what it should. For example: John 3:16 the most quoted and known passage in some translations reads: "For God sent his one and only son." This translation is missing a very important word, "begotten." Without that one word the true implication of the passage is changed. The AV7 translation focuses to correct these mistakes. These corrections have been boxed out of the chapters. I recommend reading this translation. Your understanding of God's Word will benefit greatly.
