WOW, this book is incredible! If you seriously desire to understand other people and what makes then tick then this is a must read. I have been in a Leadership position for over 3 decades and this book would have been great to have read at the beginning of those 3 decades. If you seriously care about an environment of harmony and teamwork in your home and workplace then you need to read this incredible book! I now understand why my associates respond and act the way they do and above all after all these years I now think I understand my wife and kids.
I am a DISC certified instructor and when I train or coach on the subject, inevitably I am asked, "Where can I learn more?" I've not found many good resources that really break down the communication differences and how to understand and apply in our day-to-day lives. This book is the best primer I've found on the subject. I am recommending it to all of my clients and those I know interested in the topic. If you are curious about why people do what they do, and want new ways to interact with others, I strongly recommend you read this book!
I would have fired several people if I wouldn't have read this book...it turns out, you can get the best out of people with DISC

This week I had to be part of a very tough meeting with potential explosive attitudes. Thanks to knowledge from "Communications-Skills Magic", I reminded myself that I can focus on the issues at hand and not be distracted by the attitudes, they are just reflections of the personality styles. Honestly I was scared of this meeting,however, the assurance I had that there is a predetermined best approach, based on personality style, helped me facilitate a positive outcome.
If you work with people, or live with them, this book does not belong on your bookshelf, it belongs on your desk as a daily reference. As a manager of a diverse group of individuals, knowing the right approach with each one of them makes my life very easy.
If you want the quality of your life to improve quickly, apply the knowledge from "Communications-Skills Magic" in your dealings with others. Understanding others through the filter of DISC has helped me appreciate people I could not work with before, I have also been able to turn some of them into top performers despite our dramaticaly different personality styles.
